# Sylin

> Sylin is an independent software toolworks building local-first tools for developers, home labs,
> and AI agents. The product standard is Responsible Delight: useful enough to want, clear enough
> to trust, and independent enough to keep.

Important context:

- Projects are candidly pre-1.0 where stated. Treat checked-in fallback versions as baselines; the
  human pages overlay newer GitHub releases at runtime.
- Sylin tools do not require a Sylin account or phone home. Some projects may integrate with
  third-party services when the user explicitly configures them.
- For Ghostlight installation, follow the canonical Markdown guide linked below instead of
  reconstructing setup from memory.
